About PYA

Educating Children for Now and for the Future

Project YES Africa (PYA), is a US-based, independent 501(c )(3) non-profit organization working to support children’s education in South Africa. We believe that every child has the right to grow up in a safe environment, to receive a quality education, and to realize their dreams.

Organized in 2014, and officially launched in April 2015, we provide direct support and partner with existing resources in South Africa to ensure that every child has access to quality education. Since 2015, Project YES Africa has provided direct support -– educational resources, school supplies, teacher training, and food donations — to the Nokwanda Educare Center in Khayelitsha, a township outside of Cape Town, South Africa. The Centre is a vital resource in Khayelitsha, providing pre-school education, meals, and supplemental activities to children from newborn to seven years old.  Our programs empower children by expanding access to education, providing developmental resources, and increasing economic opportunity.
